I can hardly believe it, but today it’s been one year (liturgical) since GeekBaby’s baptism. (Tomorrow will be one year annual.) It was so hectic that I’m sad to say I forgot to blog about this at the time. In addition to the stress of moving, finishing the baptismal gown embroidery, and having the pastor dump two extra babies on the deacon doing the baptism without much more than 30 minutes warning, it was just too much to blog about.
All I remember is that I refused to give him a bath until I couldn’t smell the chrism in his hair anymore.
And Deacon warned me this would happen, but I’m not convinced the exorcism took, if you know what I mean.
