We live in Texas, so boots to a wedding isn’t all that strange to me. My sister was a bridesmaid at one where she had to wear fancy cowboy boots with her dress. I’ve considered going this route – all the western wear places will custom stretch the boots they sell, and it’s not like I ever wear shorts anyway.

I love how your takes ended on a high note! I have some seriously defective size 10 ugly feet, and recently spent most of a year wearing nothing but hiking boots, because they were all my feet could tolerate. The highlight was wearing the boots to a wedding!

PSA to my male readers: When a female relation mournfully asks why she has such fat, ugly feet, this is a rhetorical question. Do not be like my dad and respond “well, they match the rest of you.”

OUCH!

That’s even worse than everyone telling me the girls look just like me…when they’re babies, thus chubby little drool machines that yell a lot and turn red. Then when Princess got lovely, elegant and lean, she “looks just like daddy.” Alright, it’s true, but….
